Production Update #3

Hi Vessi Family, 

We're back with another exciting update! First off, we want to say thank you to everyone who commented and suggested names for Vessi's in our previous update. Our entire team was so moved by the number of responses and love we got from you and the entire Kickstarter community. You guys are the best! If you haven't yet, make sure to follow us on Instagram @VessiFootwear to see what we have been up to. 

Production update: 

Last week we did a full scale run of our Vessi Flash Knit upper from size 6 to 13, the video shows some of these sizes! When we do this theres a few things we look for. We ensure that the dimensions and shapes are proportionally scaled and that all other components such as the suede side support are scaled correctly along with the upper. We also do this to match every size with the midsole to ensure a good fit during assembly. Fun fact: the adhesion side of the midsoles are buffed to enhance the bonding of the upper and the sole. Bonus fun fact: we use a water-based glue to bond the upper and the sole which is one of the main reasons that our shoes are vegan friendly.

If you've been following our update journey, we've shown most of the other shoe parts developed and confirmed. Now that the uppers are scaled out, the next exciting phase will be production/assembly. This entire journey has been so special to us and we are so happy that you believed in our team and our vision to bring you the world's first fully waterproof knit shoes!

Production Update #2

Hi Vessi Family, 

We've missed you, we cannot believe how fast time is flying! Thank you for everyone's patience while we head into production. Yesterday, we had a meeting with the factory regarding the uppers of all the sizes scaled out. In the past updates, we've focused more on the midsoles, outsoles, and accessories such as the pull tab. This time we're showing a bit of the behind the scenes of how the comfort lining layer is produced.

The machine you see is a die-cutting machine where it precisely cut shoe lining shapes with the help of the blue template. Each shoe size has its own template to ensure that the linings fit properly onto the shoe lasts.

Hello Wonderful Vessi Family,

We would like to thank you all for your amazing support, patience, and understanding over the past few weeks as we figured everything out with our first Kickstarter launch. We have definitely learned a lot so thank you again for giving us this opportunity. 

We understand that finding the perfect size is important and it's our goal to help you find your perfect fit! Please take a few seconds to follow our fit guide : ) 

PLEASE FOLLOW OUR FOOT MEASURING GUIDE CAREFULLY to determine your best Vessi size. 

*** PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BRANDS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTH FOR EACH SIZE SO YOUR VESSI SIZE MAY NOT BE THE SAME SIZE AS WHAT YOU ARE USED TO WEARING.

1. Place a piece of paper against the wall. Place one foot on the piece of paper with your heel against the wall, no socks.

2. Trace around your feet making sure not to move your heel. Make sure you trace from the edge of the heel to ensure that your measurement does not come up short. 

3. Measure your marking from the highest point of your toes to the middle of the heel in cm and ADD 0.5 CM.

PLEASE ADD THE 0.5 CM or 5 MM

4. Take the resulting figure and compare this to the JP/CM part of our sizing chart. Select the closest in JP/CM length while making sure the size length is longer than your feet measurement length and convert it to your US Size.

If you have WIDE feet please SIZE UP for a more comfortable fit 

5. We suggest people to SIZE UP if they enjoy a more relaxed fit with some wiggle room. Most people do not realize this about themselves, but most prefer to have a bit of wiggle room in their shoes. 

6. We suggest that everyone that got the WIIVV insoles to size up from the size you matched from your measurement results. 

7. Measurement results in between sizes? we suggest SIZING UP for a more relaxed fit.
